Five years ago my husband found a property he wanted to buy. It was a small hobby farm and included an older farmhouse, a solid dairy barn and a three-car garage, replete with one of those spiral staircases. I agreed to the purchase and felt the property would suit our needs very well once the house was expanded and remodeled somewhat. At this point the barn has been improved a lot and houses our five horses comfortably. The garage has been improved nearly as much as it needs to be, and the house has had quite a lot of work too. We still need an addition which will contain a first floor master bedroom, laundry area and master bath. This project will also double the size of our kitchen and add an expanded back entry. I(we)will be very happy when this work is completed so my husband can be truly retired and I no longer have to climb stairs several times each day. |
